Ringcurrent
링 전류는 유성 자기권의 자기장에 의해 포획 된 하전 된 입자에 의해 생성 된 전류이며 또한 적도의 고리 전류라고도합니다.
지구의 경우, 양으로 대전 된 이온은 서쪽 방향으로 이동하고, 음으로 대전 된 전자는 동쪽으로 흐르므로 서쪽 방향의 링 전류가 형성됩니다.
이 서쪽 방향의 전류는 중위도와 저위도의 지자기를 감소시키고 자력 폭풍의 주요 원인으로 여겨진다.
지구의 링 전류는 주로 10-200 keV 정도의 에너지를 가진 이온에 의해 기여된다.
양성자 외에도 이온의 종류에는 α 입자와 산소 이온 (O +)이 포함됩니다.
